Maternity

When should I book my Maternity Session?

These are best booked in early to avoid missing out as I only take a certain number of sessions each month.

When is it best to do my Maternity Session?
I recommend booking your session anywhere from 29 weeks right up to due date (pending your feeling well). The main things to consider is bumop size and how you're feeling pysically or any previous healh issues from other pregnancies.

Where are the sessions held and what time?

Maternity Sessions are done at a local beach / park within the Sutherland Shire in the evening to make use of our stunning sunset. I understand kids can get tired, but know keeping them awake for one night will be worth it when you see your gallery.

Do Maternity sessions include partners and children?

Yes! All maternity sessions includes partners and children. The finally gallery will include a number of images of you as a family, mum and dad to be, big brother / sister to be with mum and then mum and bump.

What do we wear?

Something you feel comfortable in. I suggest thinking about your decor at home and what colour scheme best suits that. I have gowns for mum to be to wear (if you wish) so there is no need to go out and find somehting just for our session.

How long does a maternity session go for?

Up to 1.5 hours.

Do you offer a discount for booking a Maternity and Newborn Sesison?

Yes! If you book a maternity and newborn session at the same time you get $150 off.

When should I book my Newborn Session?

Its best to book these in while you're still pregnant. I know its difficult to know when baby is going to come, so I will book you in for 2 weeks after your due date. This date can change depending on baby's arrival.

Please don't worry if you have had baby already, I will try my best to get you into the studio as I know first hand hoe special the memories are.

What's the best time to have newborn photos done?

It's best to photography baby around 2 weeks of age. This is the time when they're still super sleepy and happy to be moved by me and put into the squishy poses.

Please don't stress though, they can still be photographed later, they just might not sleep as much.

What do we need to bring?

All this will be covered in my 'What to Expect guide' as well as talking with you.

Where are the sessions held, what time and day?

Newborn sessions are held in the morning within my studio in Kareela, on a weekend.

Do Newborn sessions include partners and other children?

No. I have a package which is just baby. This session is a shorter time frame and just includes baby. However I have a number of other packages which includes parent and sibling shots. I understand us mum's don't always feel photo ready after having a baby, but please trust me you will appreciate being in the photo in years to come.

What's in place to ensure baby's safety?

I have done courses on posing and wrapping babies safely as well as completing first aid and COVID-19 infection control training course issued by the NSW Government. I will not force a baby into a position that they simply do not want to go into, so I can not guarantee particular shots (I will try my best though).

I am also up to date in all immunisations. I ensure everything that is touched is washed after each session and all hard props / seats are cleaned after each session. At the start of each sesison I thorooughly wash my hands and use hand sanitiser throughout the session. If anyone (inlcuding myself is feeling sick, we will reschedule the session until everyone is healthy.

Sitter and Family

What do we need to bring?

Nothing! Unless you have something special you would like included in the session, just let me know.

Where are the sessions held, what time and day?

Sitter sessions are held within my studio in Kareela, on a weekend. Family sessions are done at a local beach / park within the Sutherland Shire in the evening to make use of our stunning sunset. I understand kids can get tired, but know keeping them awake for one night will be worth it when you see your gallery.

As soon as you think you would like to get some photos. I usually book out a few months at a time, so please keep that in mind and get in early.
